Tellico is derived from the word “Tahlequah”, meaning rare-peace. An interesting fellow from Chattanooga, Doug Wooden, introduced me to the magic that is the Tellico River area in 1983. The best motorcycle riding, cycling, paddling, trout fishing, camping, and hiking that I have found in the Southeast. The Tellico River area has been dear to my family since the early 1980s. We have had many memorable Tellico adventures during the last 40 years. It is my honor to create this site to help preserve & curate the Tellico Experience.
